Concrete Restoration
Click Here for a Story on Nolo, the Internet's Leading Legal Website
The building in the video below is not La Bonne Vie. They delayed concrete restoration for years and the rebar (metal rods in concrete) continued to rust and the damage traveled inside most of the condos. When the board finally voted to make repairs, they had to jack-hammer up the concrete and floors 1-2 feet INSIDE most of the condos to repair the rebar. A plywood wall was built inside the condo and remained in place for months (during hurricane season).

In the video you can see all the individual AC units on the roof. La Bonne Vie has a cooling tower that the condo association maintains. AC units will rust out fast next to the ocean and a crane is the only way to get them to the roof.

TURN UP THE VOLUME
La Bonne Vie was built in 1967 and concrete restoration and a new roof were completed in 2009. In April 2020, La Bonne Vie completed minor concrete repairs. La Bonne Vie does an excellent job keeping this building maintained (unlike the building in the video).

La Bonne Vie has a Real Palm Beach Address
According to MLS data, there were 80 condos sold by Realtors in the past 12 months that were erroneously listed in the town of Palm Beach. Surprise! The condo you bought is really in the town of South Palm Beach.
The town of Palm Beach is home to Billionaires Row and the island has a very large tax base with plenty of funds in reserve for things like beach restoration.
Why are Realtors misrepresenting the town?
The town of South Palm Beach is only 5/8 of a mile long, and as a result, they have a very small tax base. It is quite possible residents in South Palm Beach may see a special assessment for things like beach restoration.
Location, location location! There is plenty of evidence to show that property values are higher in the town of Palm Beach. Confirm the town before you buy!
